MyCro Haven was proudly founded in the great Midwestern city of Columbus, Ohio. We started as a simple solution to meet a real need. Jeremy – our founder – and his buddies are avid outdoorsmen that spend every weekend in the woods with their wives and friends. They would pack up the ATV’s with tents and supplies and head into the wilderness. After a few scares and trips that were “too close for comfort”, it was too dangerous to camp in a simple tent. The wildlife, insects, weather, and lack of security made it clear that tent camping was too much, and the trips stopped.
Jeremy and Sara – his wife – were building an addition on to their cabin and their best friends, Dustin and Beka –his wife – were building a cabin across the creek. Many weekends were spent tent camping on the property as the cabins were being “roughed in”. Autumn had arrived and temperatures began to fall, the rain was picking up and the tent had a hole in it. They started the next morning cold, soaked and sick. Tent camping was miserable; it was time for something better.
Fast forward a year later…
We need to be able to camp and stay dry.We need to be able to camp and stay safe from wildlife.We need to be able to safely leave our belongings and go hiking for the day.We need it small enough to go through trails.We need it light enough to be pulled with an ATV.We need it sturdy enough to tow down the highway for out of state adventures.
